Default Need seat options not happy with my T/A seats

I was just wondering what seats people are running that arent stock. I was thinking about some 6LE seats and maybe a set of Kirkeys since no one sits in the back. Let me see what seats everyone is using.

They just arent comfortable to me, I like being held in more then the factory seats. Thye just dont have enough on the sides to me like a race seat would so it holds you in. Fbody seats never really were that comfortable to me.

I am in the middle of installing some of those summit seats. I am really happy with them. They look very nice with the rest of the vehicle and have a lot of side support. I also saved roughly 14 lbs. by switching to them.

They were heavy as hell. My leather power driver's seat weighed in at 50 lbs and my passenger one weighed 42. The Summit seats were 39 lbs a piece.

I'll get pics tomorrow for you guys but I don't have the passenger seat in yet. I was able to install the universal brackets that came with the seat and bolted them onto the threads with some custom work but because of this, the seats do not sit any higher than the factory seats. They would sit higher, like most state, if you re-use the factory rails. Other than that, I really like how they hold you in and I can see why many don't like the factory seats because of feeling "loose" in your seat.

For the reasons you don't like the Trans-Am seats the 6LE seats would be a SLIGHT improvement (due to side bolsters on the legs and side) BUT they don't really have shoulder support if you're in the twisties a lot.

Our "race" seats are more for that...

You could always have a local shop modify your stock seats to your liking (add supports)...

I bought them from a member on here. There was a thread in the Midwestern Sale's section. I'll get better daytime pictures tomorrow for you guys.

They feel great. I was getting a lil' tired of my stock seat, because everytime I would get on the gas, the seat would creak a lil'. They are very sturdy. People complain about the leather feeling cheap but I didn't get that impression from them. Overall, I am very pleased with them. It actually increased my level of riding enjoyment because I feel like I'm in a "race car" when I take hard dips and stuff.

Jonas: Give me a ring if you still have my number. I've been staying at my girl's house in Hillside for awhile. Right off I-290 and Wolf.

I just ordered some of these in micro-suede:

They are a fixed chair, but suppose to be a lil lighter, and I can't exactly recline too much with the cross bar on the cage.

I had a set of seats like that in my third. The leather was thick as hell, must have been from a old mean *** bull. They were very comfortable, I used the stock rails so it did sit high, but Im only 5'8 so it worked for me. I paid 160 plus 100 for shipping. Purchased off ebay 2 yrs ago.

I have these leather CR1's and they are quite comfortable.

The price was $1200 for the pair.
