Hey guys went down to MIR today for the Ultimate Outlaw Shootout. Outlaw 10.5, Outlaw DR, 275 DR, etc. It was pretty good alot of 200+mph passes and just insanely fast cars. Took some pics inbetween the racin.

Yeh that green s10 was super nasty he couldn't even keep the wheels on the ground and still going 180+mph in the 1/4. Im pretty sure all the Outlaw 10.5 cars where twin turbo but one fox body that was either a 10.5 car or DR but he had a single 114mm turbo but didnt get pics cause he didnt have the hood off.

Nice pics. Its incredible how fast those guys can go in just 6-7 seconds. Some guys would come off the line, get sideways and let out, get straight again, nail it and still go 180mph and im just like WOW.

what did it take to win outlaw? 6.00 pass?

There was not much separating outlaw 10.5 and DR. Both classes hit 6s. I think fastest time was like a 6.80. I know one of the DR cars hit 6.90s. That is movin out...

Lots of 200mph+ cars.

the track was awesome until the 10.5 guys kept tearing it up.275 radial guys getting 1.18-1.20 60 ft's and the 10.5 guys can't get down it.Hmmmmmm....
the 10.5 guys need to tune the car to the track-they were hitting the bars so hard it was unloading the rear tires.

Is that number on the side the company who did the vinyl wrap on the car? Im curious as to how much something like that would cost or where i could find a company that could give me a quote.

Actually the track was better for DR CARS,they dont know how to prep a track for 10.5 racing down there,the track had toooooooo much vht on it and the 10.5 cars needs to spin the tire alittle bit as having boost come in like that will play havoc on a 10.5 car,once we and and few other 10.5 racers talked to the offcials it came around but by then it was too late,our shifter went to poop and the trans wouldnt shift...

What happened to the green and black 05 style mustang? I think it was third round qualifying against the green s10 and as soon as they crossed the finish line the mustang burst in to smoke. I heard someone say he blew the heads off or somethin like that.

that's why i say tune to the track,not make the track work with the tune.

Your looking at about $2000 to do a whole car, it's not a bad deal if you look at what a paintjob would cost.

The track did not suck, it was just too much traction and they kept shaking the tires. We are still learning and I went to the 10.5 cars and asked them all what needed to be done so we could correct it. We always try our best to do right for everyone at MIR
