Default low pedal engagement after break in

I installed my spec stage 1 clutch about 1000 miles ago. I gave it a proper break in but my pedal is still engaging about 1-2 inches off the floor and it doesn't want to power shift at anything above 4500rpms but it completely disengages. I installed the supplied slave shim, the hydros were bled properly. the only thing I can attribute this problem to is the machining of my flywheel. It is the first machining and the shop took .040" off! So I bought 1 of 2 choices of flywheel shims they had for it: .025" or .050" so I took the 25 thousants.

I guess my question is could this .015" of unaccounted for metal be the root cause of my low pedal engagement or should I look elsewhere.

What do you have for a master cylinder? Sounds like you are still on the stocker and it just isnt pushing enough fluid

Contact Spec01 or something like that, he posts in this section but might not see the thread. He would know better than anyone as it's his clutch. Would say master; but w/ the flywheel deal i dunno.

adjustable masters do not fix the real problems.
I would pull the trans and measure the throwout to PP distance.

More shim will raise the pedal
