Good to hear, ordered one, only to remember hearing about some people having issues with an aftermarket timing chain not fitting correctly

Its best to run the double row chain with an SLP oil pump (which is a an SLP exclusive melling oil pump btw)

it doesn't need pump spacers with the SLP pump.

I just used one on my build, here were my problems, My stock cover did not fit, it had some slight interferance. I used a ls6 oil pump. I had to hit the inside of the timing cover with a flap wheel on a grinder to smooth some spots. one spot alot of sanding. The other issue I had was with my balancer, i bought an aftermarket UD pulley, When I installed it I could not spin my engine. I backed it off and could spin the engine, tightened it back up and locked my engine down again. What happened? The timing chain comes with some shims for the oil pump that pushes the oil pump outward, which is what causes the oil pump to hit the cover, also what caused my pulley to hit the oil pump cover, I just used a sanding drum on the inside of my oil pump cover to open it up a hair so the pulley would go thru the cover and push the oil pump gear against the crank sprocket as designed. The last thing you need to keep in mind is this, to use this chain you have to run the shims for the oil pump. when you try to put your oil pump on you will have a very difficult time getting the pickup tube in the oil pump, and you run the risk of damaging the O-ring. the solution to this is to remove the pickup tube and elongate the mounting tab that bolts to the windage tray, this allows the pickup tube to slide forward, eliminating the alignment problem. These were the issues I ran into with my setup, I had my engine on a stand so these problems were easily taken care of for me. Had my engine been in the car, knowing what I know now, I would not put the rollmaster in, it was alot of work. But hey, I have heard a ton of guys saying that they had no problems, so take it for what its worth. Just my two cents.

No SLP pump, just a TSP ported Pump....seems I might be running into some trouble, kinda crappy, its what was recommended, I was just going to pick up the lowly LS2 chain. Anybody else use it with a Ported LS6 while its in the car...... hopefully i get a lil more hopeful feedback or Hopefully it hasnt been shipped yet

If you want a very durable tried and true single roller chain....you can also get the IRL chain directly from SDPC. We bought the remaining 30 or so of them and sell them individually or with the hex adjust timing sets. they are a little pricey, but you will not have to worry about clearance issues either.

if you can justify the cost, there is no modification involved in installation.
