I don't know what drag bar to get, they both look decent. The car currently goes 10.73 on the stock sway bar but I want to get rid of the right rear squatting issue and want the car to come up straight. The car isn't a track car really I mean thats what it is turning out to be. I drive the car on my weekends off and do some racing. Its not my dd and its not a full track car yet. If you have had either of these installed in your car let me know what you think and the pros and cons. I know the UMI one is new so maybe some guys that have the BMR xtreme drag bar as those two bars seem to be designed the same.

The nice thing about our bar is although its not recommend for the street it does work and feel very good on the street... granted you don't push it to its limits on turns. We did some more testing and tuning with it this weekend and the car launched very straight after setting the pre-load per our instructions. It is a very nice set-up and priced excellent... you wouldn't be disappointed.

I am just afraid if I get the wolfe one I am going to tear it out or something by going up a steep driveway (like mine) or taking a corner to hard.

Your not going to tear it off, but the UMI, BMR or Spohn is fine for you. The Wolfe is probably the best drag bar out there, I like mine..

If you have a car that mostly sees street duty and hits the track once or twice a month, I'd look more to the UMI bar. I've driven cars with drag bars that are welded on all four corners. Now for all-out drag racing, fully-welded drag bars offer a no compromise get'r done approach.

But if you have driven both like I have, you know there is a big difference in how the car drives on the street. The bars that are half poly bushing, half bolted/welded drive much nicer on the street. Going up a driveway, or a slight incline into a parking lot and you'll think that the fully welded bar is going to break.

I think the poly/bolt-weld structure of the bars like the UMI one are perfect for street cars. I ran the Spohn first, then the BMR, and now I'm trying a UMI. Once you drive around the block you hardly notice these streetable drag bars.

I have the UMI waiting to go in, car twists really bad on the launch looking foward to seeing the results.

Car runs 10.46 @ 131 mph with consistant 1.45 60's at Bandimere Speedway.

so what's the difference between say the UMI bar and the BMR bar? I've "eliminated" the wolfe so to speak as I think it's just overkill for a street/strip car.

my buddy just ordered the UMI bar...looks very nice.

There's a big difference between the UMI bar and the BMR bar. The UMI bar uses a stamped steel sway bar saddle. BMR uses a billet aluminum saddle. The BMR billet aluminum saddle looks bad-***, but we didn't develop this for looks only. The original BMR design used a saddle made from stamped steel, but our drag race customers found that the saddle was deflecting under hard launches. What's the point of using a heavy drag race sway bar if it is going to deflect when you need it the most????


BMR redesigned our kit to use the billet aluminum saddle and our customer's saw their 60 foot times improve because of this. Remember, BMR is the only suspension company to have more than a dozen F-Body racers in the 7's and hundreds of customers in the 8's and 9's!!!!!


Our customers proved on the drag strip that the stamped steel saddle was INFERIOR to the billet aluminum saddle. Some people would rather save $70 with the stamped steel design, but that is a small savings compared to the total investment in a typical 9 or 10 second car. Most racers would gladly spend $70 to knock a few hundredths off their 60 foot times.

Troy Pirez uses a full BMR suspension and he regularly sees 60 foot times around 1.16 and 1.17 seconds.
