Default Trufiber ws9 hood and ws6 lower air box help

I recently bought a Trufiber WS9 hood, after installing it I am extremely pleased with the fit, damn near perfect out of the box. So I bought a WS6 lower air box to complete the look but I am having problems with the SLP lid hitting the hood. It seems to be hitting pretty bad but is fine with the stock lower air box. Is this normal has anyone had the same problem. Anyway to correct it or should I just leave the stock lower air box on and be done with it? thanks

It's not the lid that's the problem. WS6 lower airboxes dont fit with the trufiber hoods. I have done some test fitting for the trufiber WS6 and WS9 hoods and they simply dont fit with the ws6 lower airbox.

I'd just leave the stock lower airbox. From what I've heard, there's no performance gain to be had anyways, by switching to the ram air lower air box. I've heard maybe 1hp at 100mph.

It does look nice. But, when it comes to an air box, I'd care more about function over how it looks. That's why I did an LS1 air lid conversion on my LT1 Camaro. I guess it did look better. But, matched with the SSRA I put on it, it was so much better than my Moroso cai I had on it.
