Default 90K miles, new cam??

After owning the car for almost its entire life and accumulating 90K miles, I was finally gonna "pull the trigger" on a new cam. 2000 T/A, M6, with exhaust and most bolt-ons. I changed the oil today and there were quite a bit of shavings on the drain plug magnet.

Am I just asking the engine to blow up on me if I put in a cam? I was going to put in a cam, springs and pushrods only. Just a basic cam install. Anybody go through this with a similar situation? Good results, bad results? Thanx.

There's tons of higher mileage cars with camshafts. Don't let the mileage scare you at all. If you need any help selecting a camshaft give us a call. We have tons of camshafts on blowout special, or we can help custom build something to meet your goals.
