I want to replace all 4 speakers in my 2000 Firebird with some 6.5 inch alpines next week. I need some help on removing the door panel and back panels. Anyone have any pictures or instructions on how to get them off?

Remove the 2 screws for the door handle trim remove the door handle trim, remove the 3 screws on the armrest, remove the side mirror trim then slide the door panel upwards
for the sails, just remove the grills which clip in. No need to pull the whole sail panel

I appreciate it bmnicolosi that helps alot. I'm thinking about just installing the speakers myself. Will I need any aftermarket harnesses or parts? Or will they just screw right into the factory mount?

Look at step 5 in the how to that bmnicolosi posted. You may have to cut the back side of the plastic mount the factory speakers fit it if the new speakers have bigger magnets or sit deeper. Other than that they should fit.

Nope. Just cut the connector off and either butt connect the speaker terminals on or solder them on. As far as above post, if you are going with the speakers we talked about, you will have no depth issue at all.

I would read up on how the Monsoon system works before you do any installs. Check out the stickys if you haven't already
