Would you use a 3" moroso Spiral muffler?
On a single turbo setup? I have one laying around. Was going to use it before dumping it before the axle. Will this hurt the performace? Thanks.

No way I would use one of those ever again. I gained 18rwhp switching to a straight through muffler but I'm not turbo though. This was with a 3" catted y-pipe dumped at the axle.
With spiral flow muffler - 601rwhp. With straight through bullet muffler 619rwhp on the dyno.

I have two on my car now in a true dual setup and cannot wait to get them off. Dynomax bullets are too cheap to not go with over a spiral flow.

I used one ( a pair ), its internals fell apart, almost clogging up the entire flow path.
And TBH, after switching to straight through perforated tube design...they do actually do a better job of reducing noise.

Wow! All these people doggin the spiral flow kinda makes me want to not put mine on that I bought a while ago. I think they spiral flows are the absolute BEST sounding mufflers for the LS engines. I absolutely hate the way my borla sounds on my car. I guess I could still use the spiral flow for noise reduction and a better sound, and just use my e-cutout for those times I need the extra power..

If I ran ran one of those mufflers on any street strip car, I'd either run a cutout before it or I'd take the muffler(s) off at the track.
For straight through mufflers that work well, check out:
