Just bought a set wonder how hard it is to press these in? How do you line them up when installing as the factory ones have a stopping point on open and closed?

Here are Comp's instructions from their website:

Note the special tools they use. It might be worth it to have someone with those tools do it for you. Figure about $100 or so. That still makes it less than the Harland Sharp conversion.
I think that there are non-sponsors offering this service.

Im not really concerned about pressing them in or out. Just wondering about lining them up when pressing them in. The only turn so much up and down before hitting a stopping point, so wondering how you mark or line up the new ones so they have enough travel up and down.

You don't have to worry about lining them up. They spin freely 360*. I've done about 10 sets here. It takes a couple of hours and lots of patience and attention to detail. We use a vice and a couple of sockets. Keep everything VERY clean and take your time.

Looks like the only custom tool you'll need is something to press the trunion into. Definitely want something to support the sides of the rocker arm as that's the area that seems to always blow out when they spill the needle bearings. Seems like it could easily be made out of some solid rod stock. Besides that, a press and snap ring pliers. I will likely be doing this over the winter.
