What is it Worth? - 2002 anniversary edition SS Camaro (red gray stripes) 60k miles

Hey guys,

Friend is selling his 2002 Camaro SS anniversary edition .
60k miles
auto
excellent condition normal wear and tear.
It was in a fender bender and had bumper replaced.

Whats it worth? PM me if interested im tryin to get him to sign up to sell it.

I would say around 17.5k or so with 60k and a fender bender, but thats only if it has been very well maintained and the paint/interior are still in very good condition and you have documentation and all the stuff the LE's came with (trophy mat, portfolio, floor mats, car cover, etc). If you want some more input i would go to www.35thle.com and get some more suggestions from the other LE owners

14k...thats what they are going for at dealerships...I found one at a dealer with 47k in immaculate condition for 13.9k, beautiful car and I considering purchasing it just because it was a 35th

well if you saw one for 14k with lower miles and probably no fender bender, that would make this one with 60k and a fender bender worth much less?

Yeah $17k is too high with that mileage and it having some 'work'. It means a lot to collectors.

I'm currently looking for a LE 35th anny SS and am finding too much confusion. I've seen none under 20K (even though book values list the car @16K). Everything I'm seeing is 25-28K. Am I missing something? I've also seen a few that have SLP add-ons and a few that don't. What is considered the LE 35th anny? Is it only models with the racing stripes and wheels or does it have ot have SLP add-ons. What kind of value should I expect to pay?

A true 'collector's edition' low mileage #1 or #2 car is correctly worth over $20,000 as long as it has the full documentation as you noted. Throw out the guide books on special cars. These qualify as special cars. Don't listen to the sellers who claim they have the anniversary edition just because it is a 2002 model. That is NOT how it works in the collector world.

Travisnd posted all the info you need above. Just look on the inside of the driver's door to verify. Be careful with dealers!! No need to elaborate further. I imagine there were unique brochures and other goodies given with the CE (collector edition) cars. I'm sure a search will give you that info or someone can add comments. Good luck in your search and again, be certain before you buy! If you start hearing excuses and can not verify, especially by dealers, just walk away.

Thanks so much! Of the 2 I found I'm concerned on both. One offered a fre carfax which I looked at and found it was bought at auction. It only has 2600 mi on it but they're asking a lot.


The second I asked about the RPO and was told basically huh? I tried to explain what I was looking for so we'll see where it goes. This car has less than 1000mi but is 345mi away...so I can't head out for the afternoon to see it. So far they have been willing with everything I've asked but they are seriously marking up new Camaro's which gives me a bad taste for them in general.

I have 2002 true LE 6 speed. It has 31k on it. All original my # is C-286 one of the 369 sold in Canada. Great shape fune to drive. I would sell mine but I would have to get 17,500 for it. Which seems to be a fair price for mileage and it is a six speed hurst shifter. I can tell you all about these cars being since I do own one.

Oh I live in Delaware. All 35th LE's have that special rpo code Z4C. Which is the rpo code for the 35th LE package which included the paint and interior and special wheels. None could be ordered in just hard top. They were loaded including traction control, 12 disc truck mounted cd player. All had this but many had a host of SLP added options that had nothing to due with the 35th LE package. Like 1LE or center mounted exhaust etc. the same options you could get on a base SS.

Thanks again. I did get the second one confirmed as a Z4C. It has I believe SLP add-ons (cold air) a hurst shifter and some really weak looking exhaust pipes. What classifies these as SLP cars? I see some list theirs as #xxxx SLP # XXX.

The second one has ~1000mi on it and looks really nice. I really hope the carfax is ok and I'm able to swing it. They need to come down from the 24K asking price though.

ALL LE's have two numbers one from SLP and then their LE limited number from GM. Really rare cars in the sense of them having two numbers. Easy to get both one just call SLP and give them your vin # they will tell you all about your car.
