Default Getting rid of my T56... Yank, TCI or Circle-D???

I am tired of trying to get the most out of my car with the 6 speed setup. I wish I would never have swapped to the 6 speed 2 years ago... Any way, I just bought another FLP 4L60e and I want to go with a 4400 stall converter but can't decide which one. Has anyone went from a Yank to a Circle- and saw any improvents in 60' 1/4 ET or 1/4 MPH???

Thanks

From what the title of thread says I would consider Yank or Circle D. Good luck on your re-swap!

Our policy is $250 labor plus parts and shipping. Feel free to call the shop and talk to Andy about doing this. Or you can pm the user Andy @ FLT and go from there. Vince B

I would of course suggest a Circle D. but at a minimum get a converter with a billet front. At your power levels it is a necessity. We have a few options for a 4400 with your setup, even a new 230MM version that will make you fly!! Give me a call and we can go over the details of your setup and I can give you some options.

Our performance will move you! - Guranteed

The tranny is coming with a SS3600 but I think I need a bigger stall. I figure that I can sell it and use that towards a new converter. I will be calling Yank and Circle-D tomorrow to see what options I have.

I have a friend that swapped from a Yank to a Circle-D and he is much happier with the Circle-D (and his car moved the **** out on the street and on the strip, even more so from the converter swap.)

Was the str bigger on the Circle-D? If so that could be the difference.

I've run three Yanks and all have performed flawlessly. They've been in the game a long time and it shows with their quality. I've got a buddy that runs a Circle D 5C and loves it. It is obviously a quality converter as well, so it's a toss up. Rest assured that you can't go wrong with either of those companies!!

I think the only reason my tranny is lasting is due to the Yank Converter in my car, stock 4L60E with 150k miles.
