Default Selector shaft seal

So i have a small leak were the shift selector shaft goes into the transmission. Its made most of the lower part of my shift cable wet. Anyway just wondering how to replace this seal. Im assuming theres an o-ring of some sort behind that nut or something. Anyone know more about replacing this? thanks

There is a small metal clad seal that they use. I have a speciality tool to do this in the car. If you do not have it I think you might do more bad then good. You could always remove the selector shaft and pop it out with a screw driver and tap a new one in with a socket. A trans shop would probably do this repair in less than a half hour. Might be something to consider. Vince B
