26 vs 28 vs DR's vs gearing = trap speed
From my pasted drag racing experiance I have always seen mph change with tire size and gearing. In personal cars I have changed from 3.55 to 4.10 and gained less then 1 mph. I have gonna from a normal 26' tall Dr to a 26' et street {old school slick style} and lost 2 mph. And then from 26' et streets to 28' et drags and lost another 2 mph.
Does the mph go down because you lose power with the larger diameter tire?
or because they grow killing your gear? And if so could you regear it to overcome the loss and gain back the mph lost?
example: a h/c z06 with
3.73 on 26' traps 126
3.73 on 28' trap 124
if 4.10 were installed a on 28's would it trap 126?
