Default moser torque arm bracket failure

i called moser to see if they had any failures and whatnot. i was told im abusing my car? thought thats what it was for?
high hp, heavy car, but mostly a very shitty weld.
good thing i broke my center section, or i would have had more trouble in the next few passes.
this bracket is damn near 20 pounds and made of 1" flatstock. the flat place between the plates for the torque arm mount has to be 3/8 or 1/2 thick.

you can see its shiny, no rust after a week of being off the car.
had to beat the torque arm off the car. you can see the bottom portion of the bracket is bent/warped. heated it up and layed it on the ground and swung a 15LB sledge at it numorous times and it never moved.
hard to believe the suspension has that much force on it.
driveshaft yoke also took a hit.
i havent had the driveshaft out in 30 passes. the splines are twisted so bad i had to beat it out of the tranny with a hammer.
it will not full seat into the transmission anymore.
need to sell the car and build something light.

all stock center.
ive got a moser thru bolt and billet goodies in there now.
new chrome moly tranny yoke is on the way too.
the th350 input shaft will be the next weak link.
dont think anything else on the car will break now.
ive broken all the cheap stuff over the years.

i think the cast piece is only a couple years old.
i dont see how iron would be stronger than a piece of steel.
moser says for faster production.
anyone have a pic of the new bracket?

my torque arm bracket looks like the one bob posted, all one piece solid cast iron. my moser 9" is about 2 years old and the bracket is very very heavy and solid..

by the looks, it appears to be much more heavy duty than the piece you posted. even if it was weaker which i highly doubt, there are no welds to break

a weld shouldnt break, but we could argue about that one forever.
when i get rich, id really like to move away from this rearend and the current torque arm setup i have.
the tranny brace, torque arm are mild steel, and that bracket is way over weight.
i bet with a fab 9 and a chrome moly torque arm i could drop 30-35 pounds from my car.
