Default Update on KCM 402 motor - 9.77 @ 135

The weather was shaping up good for the weekend so it was a
good time to bring the car out again, and put another round of
tweaking/tuning on the Keith Craft Motorsports 402 motor. It's
only had 3 passes so far.

Made some changed to the setup and popped in another LS1-Edit
file.

I'm still running all-motor and the car put down a 9.77 with a 1.42
60 foot, along with a few other 9 second passes. The track prep
at Hallsville was good, they were running a bunch of programs
including Outwaw's so the track was sticky. It was good to see
a bunch of folks from D/FW out there like John, Mike, etc. and
by the way, Keith Craft and Drew Baird from KCM came out and
helped me out a bunch in the pits.

Every time the setup is tweaked and tuned it picks up a BUNCH, if
this keeps up, there's a good chance it could get down into the
Nice 9's, the DEEP 9's after it's all dialed-in.

After it's all dialed in on motor, THEN I'LL ROLL WITH THE N2O

But anyway, there's some New work that I need to do on the car,
plus the converter isn't quite right and could use some improvement.
I'll try to get an optimal coverter in the car in the next week or two.

So, there's a new load of work to be done, but the results from
last nights track visit was VERY encouraging.

Thanks for the kudos fella's. The car has done well and 402ci motor has really
performed well. When the motor build was on the drawing board I was thinking
that being a smaller cubic inch at 402, I thought that the setup would be
several tenths behind the record holder(MMT/The BEASST 9.69) with their
436ci(?) motor. I feel like the setup has more in it, but I've been working out
the peripheral bugs in the setup, and I'm starting to break some parts again.
New power, new weak links.

I would like to run in the SBSO, I just wish that the Outlaw class grouping
was reasonably competitive. That doesn't mean that I won't run in the event,
but it sure makes it a downer when there are cars that can run in that class
that could easily wipe out the *entire* lineup of LS1/LS6/C5R setups and come
out of the throttle and coast from the 1/8 mile mark.

Who knows, maybe I can tree them ! (not)
It's too bad that the LS1tech rules don't promote LS1's in this class.

My dyno numbers are 530/455. Raceweight when I ran the number was 3080.
(I don't put a lot of faith in dyno numbers equating to ET's)

I like my power windows, they stay

There's no locking the Glide

I have a vaned street rotors up front with Wilwood calipers. I'll bet I could have dropped
10 lbs off the nose if I went with the race brake setup.

I *might* try some TTT5's or Clash, but I've had more success running heads up over
anythings else.
Much more practice is needed.
