Hi guys,

I have the oppotunity to buy a really good shape vortech v1 suprercharger today off a 1998 chevy 454 suburban...

I was wanting to know if anyone has used a v1vortech on an fbody

or is there a bracket to make it work?

I called vortech, and they said there was a company (RMCR) that made a overhead bracket, but u'd have to get a cowl hood... or you could custom make a bracket for below the engine...

I'd just like a few more answers/opinions

Oh and there is a supercharger for sale around here that came off an LT1. Could that possibly work?

Yes the V1 will work on the ls1/2 you will need to buy the RMCR bracket it is about 800 bucks but it will go right on. You will also have to get a cowl hood if you have a camaro but it will work under the ws6 hood. I need to get a pic of mine to post up here.

The only issue im running into now is that its an angular discharge, not a straight discharge.... will an angular discharged supercharger be able to fit? or will i be able to buy a piece from vortech to turn my angular dishcharged supercharger to a straight discharge supercharger?

Well it depends on what you are wanting to do with it but 99% chance no you cant use it. You also have to make sure it is the correct rotation to be mounted on the driver side with the discharge pointing inward to connect to the vortech aftercooler.
