Trans Am window motors
I am replacing the window motors in my '99 30th Anniversary Trans Am. Has anyone done this? I have removed the door panel on the passenger side, but do not know what to do next. HELP!!!

You're going to need some way of holding the glass up when you remove the motor. I used a large C clamp with a piece of rubber on the end to keep from scratching or breaking the class.
But then you just remove the actual motor. In some cases, it's still riveted on, but if yours has been replaced, it should have screws, I think.
But to make it easy, here's the write up I used...

That's a good write up. Wish I had that the first time I replaced the motor. Good luck, just a tip, if you have to drill the rivets, don't use a big bit, it'll be a pita to get the new screws to fit in the bracket Other than that, good luck! It gets easier everytime you do it.

If you go by the write up, you'll be fine. It's definitely one of those things that get significantly easier the second time. I got my motors from autozone with a lifetime warranty.

Latex gloves or until you get the excess fiberglass cleaned off from the drilling. Man the first time I did it my hands were chewed up for days after I did it. Make sure you blow it all out of the door and use a Vac to suck up anything on the carpet or interior.
I used a 3/16ths bit on the rivets, just do with it until you notice something spinning on the bit. Then you can usually put the head of the rivet out on the back side at that point
I didnt know about a piece of rubber on the damn C-Clamp. Both of my windows got scuffed and scratched Think its the tint mostly but still sucks.
