Default starting my forged 346 build, question about rings

ok, im starting on my ls1 build. My eagle h-beam rods came in yesterday, and my pistons will be here monday. My pistons are Probe forged 3.902 bore, -3cc, my question is on ring selection. This is my first ls1 build, can standard rings work? i was looking at SDPC last nite at the Akerly and childs file fit rings, any suggestions??

"Standard" as in standard sizes, no. I'm pretty sure Probe uses a 1.5/1.5/3.0mm ring pack so you want to use metric sizes. Your best bet is to call Probe to see what rings are compatible. Then call one of the ring manufacturers and see what they recommend for your specific setup. There are really only maybe one or two really good people on here that could give you a specific answer.
