What tool for valvespring removal on TFS LS1 heads?

What tool for valvespring removal on TFS LS1 heads? I was trying to do a spring change on these heads today and am having problems compressing the springs to remove the locks with "Tim's Tool" that ive used in the past. It looks like the angle is pretty steep and maybe not getting nice pressure over the entire retainer. Anyone ever change springs on these heads? Btw, i tried the LS1 speed or Crane tool and it doesn't work on these heads at all 
I should add that im using a compressor to fill the cylinder up and that the tool is compressing the retainer but the valvestem is going with it. I may try a light tap with a 5/8 socket on the retainer as someone mentioned in another thread.

Does the tim's tool work with anything? The one I bought was garbage and after not being able to sell it, I tossed it. Get a real spring compressor and try again.

make sure the piston is near top dead center in that cylinder. That way your compressor can work more efficient. I've used the crane tool with no problem. Other than that I think Thunder Racing still sells the Moore performance valve spring compressor and I love that one. You just use a ratchet to compress it and an extension for the ares under the cowl.

I was able to get the drivers side done today using the TDC method and Tim's Tool. It would be great if the tool was canted a bit as the valve angles really make the tool work at an extreme angle.

The Crane Tool? I ordered the one from Ls1 Speed and it doesn't fit at all. The mount is at the wrong angle and the compressing pieces doesn't line up properly either. Are you sure you used the crane tool on the Trick Flow heads?
