Default Finally did it, I love my ProCharger, lol.

I went to the Midnight Drags in Tulsa and finally clicked off my 9 sec. pass. 9.98@130 MPH, the car DOES NOT MPH well, lol, I'm assuming the weight. It weighed 3969lbs with me in it before we headed to the track on the 4 corner scales.

Absolutely HUGE thanks to ChevyChad, I threw a belt on the very first pass and didn't have a spare, Chad took me to his house, at 1am to get a belt which he happened to have. Thanks a ton man, I owe ya! I'll get a video up when I get some sleep. I only got 3 passes, first sucked, threw the belt doing the burnout, so not even a run, 2nd 10.30 at 126, I let out I guess when it came up, and the last was the 9. That's all I wanted to do, I'm satisfied with it in a 2 ton car, literally.

EDIT: It also 1.34 60'd off the footbrake on the good old 4L60E!

EDIT 2: Here's the vid, you can see how freakin' damp the air was, 94% humidity, but it was cooler!

Congratulations!

It sounds like you have a belt alignment problem, as the belt should not be getting tossed. What torque converter are you using? Bob

No belt alignment issue, I'm the one who built the car. It seems someone, owner of car, over tightened the blowerbelt and during his burnout it got into good boost and snapped in half. The belt then got wrapped around the idler pulley and caused it to almost come off. I fixed everything at the track and properly tightened the new belt that Chad got us (thanks again man).

The converter is a PI tripple disc and is working great. The car pulled the wheels about 6" and cut a 60' I never dreamed possible for that heavy car.

Congrats again Reza. It's been a long time coming for that single digit and now you need to just enjoy the car.

Tried to, but when it would leave it just threw the OBDII cable out and wouldn't read anymore obviously. Converter or trans I guess could be slipping up top, it may be worth pulling it to spot check everything. Either way, I'm at least glad it happened!

Awesome! You are def. a little low on MPH, maybe trans/converter. Our 4000lb GTO runs 141mph at 825whp, and people claim we have a happy dyno lol.

Get the MPH up there and you will really have a land rocket!

I'm wondering if the MPH is low because the car is hooking pretty hard, it 60's very well for what it is, maybe?

Huge Congrats man thats an street car you have.

But with your power I thought the car will be over 140mph?? no hooking up was the reason?? Maybe your belt slipping up top??

Again man, HUGE congratz! I'm just glad you were able to keep going after that first disappointing run with the belt shredding. I wasn't about to let that be the way the night ends for my car's twin lmao! I'm happy I was actually able to help ya out. Thats what this hobby is all about.

It was definitely cool to meet ya and your car is even better looking in person What I'm most impressed with is that you are running a true STREET car (FULL weight, all power/ luxury accessories, A/C, etc.) in the single digits. Well done sir Gives me hope for my car once I get it tuned!

i doubt it was the hookage. although its a big diff from a 1.34 to a 1.44 (my 60) my car traps 140-142. its 3850lbs and makes 80+ less hp then you. once you figure it out that bitch will be nasty. did you happen to see if boost was dropping off on the top end?

Congrats on the 9s, thats a good 60 foot. After 100mph or so aerodynamics makes more difference then weight, 130mph is a little low. What was the 1/8 mile ET/MPH?

What gear/tires you have and rpm were you seeing at the end? That will tell you right away if the converter is slipping too much.
