Already posted in results, but I thought you guys would get a kick out of this...
Finally made a few good hits on the new nitrous kit last night (175ish hit on a ZEX perimeter plate). Previously the car had been 11.41 @ 122 on the motor. The best pass was:
60' 1.53
1/8 6.61
mph 107.48
1/4 10.28
mph 134.17
There is a brief mod overview in my sig. All of this on a stock cubic inch motor, factory stock 10 bolt, and factory torque arm.... Drove it to the track, ran a couple low 10sec passes (one of which netted a 136.5mph but a higher et), and drove it home. Needless to say, I'm really happy with the car!!!

Yeah I had gone very low 1.4's on my 10 bolt but I put in the Moser before a 2 hour trip to the track could become a waste of my time.

What gear? Its mainly the 6 speed cars with 4.10 that strip the pinion teeth off, then if that doesn't break the small 27 spline axle will. But in an auto the 10 bolt can last, what size tire? 26? the taller the tire the more stress there is. I'd say with a stick car 1.70 slipping the clutch is the limit but in an auto i've seen a local guy run mid 1.5xx all season long running 10.6-11.0

It's a 3.42 gear with a 28'' tire. One or the other is going to have to change because I'll be out of gear with much more nitrous.

Congrats nice to see other cars getting it done on a 10 bolt also. I did about the same high 1.3x 60ft's on a 10 bolt with 2 series carrier and 3.42's on a 26" Hoosier slick. Also with stock TA!! Only diffrence was I was trailered in cause I live bout 45 mins - 1hr away from track. BTW awesome MPH!!

a 10 bolt in a A4 car is bullet proof compared to a 10 bolt in an M6 car..
Good runs though

Holy crap....and I thought I was moving out on the stock 10 bolt. Good runs. That's even more impressive with the stock TQ Arm too.

No, don't think so. Grenaded mine when runnin in the 12's :( . Took out the posi and axles at the same time. Rebuilt it and still holdin up but don't know for how long. Ran my 10's on the 10 bolt.
Congrats on the great runs!

Congrats on the killer times especically on the 10 bolt... One question though i thought the MS4 was more of an N/A cam, just how nitrous friendly is it???

It works fine with the jug. For the levels I'm at, you really don't need a "nitrous specific" cam. You've just got put together a well thought out NA combination and it will generally work out well. I finally broke the 10 bolt, by the way, but not before running the times in the post below....

9 inch with some major weight loss will be happening over the winter, and we're gonna shoot for 9.7 or faster with these pills (hopefully)! Once that happens I'll pill it up and see what she's really got.

10 bolts will last behind a auto trans. a stick car can break stuff pulling off a 1.64 60ft. compared to a auto wich can pull 1.4 before breakage. Great times and good luck . And to anyone with a stick car that thinks there 10 bolt will last- your wrong,,,,,,very wrong
What about the occasional track visit in the 11.8-11.5 area with an m6 running a small 75 shot? Maybe 10-15 runs a year on the stock 10 bolt 3.42's with a ta cover & dr's?

Could be first trip, could last a year.
My money would be closer to first trip though.

No way I'd risk it with a 6 speed car unless I had the cash around to buy a 9 inch ASAP.

congrats on making the 10bolt last as long as u did. I went 6.60 in the 1/8th(low 10s in the 1/4) also on my 10bolt but had apparently already broke it before that pass since i was spinning one wheel down the track LOL. Hopefully ill drop that time some more with the fixed rearend now and a couple other items:secret2:
