Default 4L60E to TH350

Anyone know about this fitzall kit that allows you to use the 4L60E tailshaft on the TH350...which allows stock driveshaft, crossmember, and mounting of the torque arm???

I've searched and can't find anything. Can the factory shifter be used? I think I have everything else covered but any extra info on the swap could be helpful.

Dunno about that kit but if you get the TH350 with a 9" tailshaft, the stock driveshaft and stock A4 Crossmember will bolt right up, no changes needed.

You have to provide a VSS signal for your speedo, but on the '96 (and I think the 97 LT1s) you can just piggy back the +5v and ground VSS wires to the +5v and ground of the front drivers side ABS reluctor wires. Then just use this Unity Gain circuit to keep the ABS INOP light off.

I asked the same question after I came across a similar tranny. The guy at the shop said he would have to completely disassemble the tranny to get to the output shaft.
Congrats on finding the kit. Can you give me a link to it?
Thanks!

I did this same conversion, the stock A4 cross member will not bolt up to the T-350 unless its modified to do so. Alot of people go this route and beats paying $100+ for an aftermarket piece. Im lazy and just bought the aftermarket UMI piece. The trans would have to be completely disassembled to have a long shaft version. The only impact here is the driveshaft length, you will need a custom driveshaft if you use the short tail version.

Here is the two crossmembers you can use-

or

www.umiperformance.com/2226

It depends what type of torque arm you are running?

Hope that helps!

If I remember, the Fitzall kit uses the 4L60E tailhousing and incorperates a spacer to attain the correct length and retain the torque arm set-up. The trans has to be disassembled to install the longer output shaft. The 60E tailhousing can retain the stock VSS, mount location to the crossmember, and the exciter wheel can be pressed onto the output shaft. We've used there stuff for years with good results.

The vendors here should be able to help.
