Talking My 6.0 swap! Srj is the man!

Ok guys so here is the thread for my recent 6.0 swap that we did last weekend 9/11-9/13. Big shout out to Srj who hooked me up! Also marcos, cali generalz and alex who i didnt meet but hooked up a brake line that we needed after we broke one. thx bro! The build consisted of swapping in an 04 lq4 along with a tsp 228R cam, pushrods, springs, ls7 timing chain and ls6 ported oil pump. We pretty much knocked it out in two days which was awesome. I also have some video that im hoping to get up real soon. Well here we go enjoy guys!

I keep saying it... those 6.0 LQ4's are no joke... most people don't like them because they are iron. But I have NO regrets...

Nice pics, they are a bit small though. The swap went very smoothly if I do say so myself. Enjoy the car man. You need some LT's now.
Get that video up...your car sounds nice.

Actually the block is missing (2) bolt holes for the alt mounting bracket. But there is still one bolt hole in the front of the block and one bolt hole on the side of the block that secures the little "L" bracket for the alt. So that's two bolts to hold on the alt which is sufficient. I have done it that way on numerous LQ4/9 and LM7 swaps and have not had a single issue.

Congrats on getting the swap done bro. And you're welcome for the brake line. SRJ is quite the mechanic and has saved my *** many a time in the past. I'd do the same for him (and have) any day of the week. As before mentioned, he's the best private mechanic I know!

Enjoy your motor, I'm sure you'll continue to be very happy with it.
