Default will bad 02 cause this?

my o2 insnt switching properly. my a/f gauge used to slowly lean out until the air pump would shut down then would start switching slowly at idle. now it will remain in low stioch until i start driving, then switching slowly from lean stioch to rich stioch. eventualy it will start switching properly at driving speeds. i know i have to change it out. here is my question. when i slow down to a creeping pace but not stop and start to accellerate it will stumble until it feels like it downshifts would a bad o2 cause this or am i looking at transmission problems?

May just be too cool for school, especially if you have headers.
High pedal gives it plenty of exhaust gas heat, low flow lets it
get too cool.

If it's stock manifolds though, it may just be too crusty.
