how can i tell if my car is a true ss?? hi i bought my car and was told it was a true ss but some things are fishy about it, like the hood has been repainted and im not sure if the spoiler is factory, is there any way of telling by the rpo codes?? thanks!

Need more info on the car, ..., But you should be able to simply look at the RPO tag on the driver;s door & look for the SS code. (It may be different from the early SS to the later SS.)
Now, ..., you'll have to do some searching, or wait for another reply to determine what that code is, because I don't know the SS codes, ...
Edit: Look for 'WU8' for the late 4th-gen/LS1-based cars.
