lmao, mine wasn't that bad... it just took out the very edge of piston #7

That is some crazy ****. Any sign those 3 holes were lean before teardown?

It never let go, but it was on its way.
We knew #2 was hurt, we compression tested it Sat. morning and it was 130 ... We pulled some timing from that hole and ran it all day long.

#2 was the reason we tore it down but the other 2 being hurt was not much of a surprise. #8 didnt look to bad other than the ring land being pushed up.

Like I said on YB, we have been RACING this motor all year so I aint mad at it.

How much was that being sprayed with? Atleast the rod still looks good.
Plug?
timing?
fuel?

We use coated bearings and they looked fine, the coating is not even off of them.
I was thinking the same thing you were before we pulled them off though.

I don't believe that was lean, or overtimed. It pushed the ring land up, then let oil in the chamber. I bet it was rich. Any plug pics from that tune-up?

rich is what usually gets the ring lands.


looks like the pistions took most of the pain, looks like the block may still be in ok shape and reusable with minimal clean up?
