Exclamation LS1edit Q's adjusting MAF table and PE vs RPM

PE first... Atap was reading 12.45 WOT on the stock O2's and 850 ish. I had a value of 1.1686 and adjusted it upto 1.1700 to make it rich. i should be around 12.0 AFR and 920 O2's right? Q #2 i am doing my whole MAF table with a % adjustment. so far from my last MAF (ported descreened 75 to 82 mm) to screened 85mm MAF i have had to multiply 60% to the whole table to get LTFTs from -26 down to -8... Should i try and get a stock 85mm table and go from there instead? or just keep fine tuning it as is?

Don't go by stock NB o2s, not reliable. You need a WB 02. I'd ditch your LS1edit and ATAP for HP Tuners.

If your tuning the combo in your sig you need better tools to get the job done right.
You need to set your PE table to 1.13 and tune your MAF for part throttle and WOT and then you need to tune the VE table 800 to 3000-4000 rpms to get within 2%.

Just to check, you're not tuning with the LTFTs on are you?

Why do you want to make it richer than 12.45? mid to high 12s is probably what's gonna make the best power for you.

If you're commanding 1.1686/~12.5 and it's giving 12.45, I'd say that you were pretty close on the MAF table in that area. Trying to tweak that anymore is likely going to over shoot and it's better to err on the rich side.

I wouldn't be scarred til you started getting towards 14s, unless you're timing is crazy high.

Most N/A cars make the best power from 12.7-13.2.

That's way too high. Do you have a way of testing power output of the car? Track/dyno?

ya, i dont have a wideband and wont have the $$ for one for about 8-9 more weeks! so i have to work with what i have. I actually unplugged the MAF cause my LTFTs were going all over the place and it is still -21 but the WOT looks better and the LTs arent going from -14 to + 11 anymore ...

A good WB unit is $300. I use the NGK AFX.

How can you tune your WOT AFR without a WB O2? NB 02's don't work for WOT.

If I were you, I'd stop driving the car and wait till you get a WB 02 and do it the right way. Without having a good scanner and guess on what the AFR should be, your taking a big risk on your 402 combo. You spent a lot of money now, don't go cheap on the tuning.

well, i have to drive to work...and to college. I can just stay away from the WOT. my main problem for tuning is the running so rich my NB O2s are going bad every 6 mo... i got a warrenty on the last couple so i was lucky there but now im moving 500 miles away so i dont have all the "hook ups" i do up here when i move.
