Cool Maf

Ok guys we are putting my project together. Fast 92/90 set up on a big cam 408 with Direct Port...yadayada... Ill try to fit all the specs in my profile. I will be spraying a 250 shot.... one day... after I get the tuning down for N/A ill work on a nitrous tune.

Now my question.

I have to purchase a MAF I want to know is there any gain or loss of using a stock LS1 MAF on the 92/90 setup?

Hell I think I have read where some ditch the MAF period. Looking for some eduMaKation here guys.

Thanks.

At the point the MAF is the smallest part in the induction, yes it is the restriction. We just dyno'd a car yesterday that was PRC 2.5 5.3L heads and 228R cam with a FAST92 combo on it. The only change was a swap from a stock MAF to a 90mm GM MAF. The car picked up 9 RWHP. Not bad for under $200.

I'd like to know too. I have a 90mm intake and 90mm throttle body. It would only be logical for it to breath through a 90mm MAF. Anybody have a part number for the GM 90mm MAF?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Why does TSP 100mm MAF need an adapter harness?

It works for other LS motors not just the LS1.

Maybe I should reword my question. In what situation would I need the adapter harness? What is it adapting?

Thanks,

Andy

The wiring harness from a ls1 wont plug into the MAF without an adapter. The MAF sensor was not made for our cars thats why it requires a tune.
