Default Who had narrowed their rear?

But still retained stock mounting points? How much can you get away with taking off each side?

I'm wondering if I can take 2" off each side & still use a 10" rim with 5" bs.

The area around the springs are being taken out & replaced with metal.

I'm sure I'll measure before ordering a rim, but a 15x10 with 5" bs seems to be pretty popular with the major rim manufactures.

I run a 15x7.5 with 5" bs, and that fits flush inside the wheel wells. So would I just take off the difference between this rim & the 10"? So 2.5" off each side? I would be running a 12 or 13" tire in there, the widest I can get. I have already done some serious banging of metal inside the wheel wells, in order to get the 335's in there (that I used to run)

Hoping to find someone with some experience in this area. Thanks.

Joe K. has a 12 bolt that is narrowed and runs Convo Pros. It looks good, like the wheel/tire is "tucked" under the car more.

I have narrowed my 12-bolt 1.5" each side, run 15x10 Convo Pros, with 28x10.5x15 ET Drags. See signature for pictures.

No modification on the inner tire well. Moser 12-bolt here.

Just a 1/2" on each side with my Moser. Worked great for the 15x10 CL Warriors (6.5" BS) and I run ZR1 offset (50) 17x11 on the street.

Sold that truck. It had a 3" body & 2" suspension, with 315 BFG MT.

I guess it's looking like 2.5" to 3" off each side. I'll have to do some measuring when I get the car back.

Bob, what was the BS of those rims, I how much did you cut off the tubes?

Lots of gym time, and eat right. That should narrow your rear. JK.
I fit 15x10 bogarts, no Prob with 27x11.5 hoosier QTP with no cutting of anything.

a 27x11.50 tire shouldnt require any cutting. i run those as well with no cutting. i did have to massage the inner fenders a bit for the 28x12.50x15 et streets though

Whats the max you can narrow the rear end and still be able to use stock wheels? What is the widest slick you can fit without chopping the car up too much? Id be fine with pounding and cutting inside of the wheel well, the fenders too

I narrowed my strange 9" 3inches on each side and use a 15x10 bogart with 5" bs .... everything is in stock locations , i run a 29.5x10.5 so the inner fenders have been molested but i still utilize stock wheel wells , no mini tubs ..... as for your question about how much you can narrow with stock wheel , i really dont know i wouldnt think you would want those 7.5 bs tucked under there , that would look kinda fuuny
