Default p0307 help

I was driving my car (99 Firebird) and voltage meter started to dip low. My light saying check gauges came on, so I thought my alternator was going. Then my SES light came on and I read the code and it's PO307, my car is also making a ticking noise that I have not heard before and giving a slight back fire. The car also feels down on power. Thanx

If you can hear the strange tick, check for plug wire
arcing.
