Restore convertible top?
My canvas top is showing the signs of age and (unfortunately) neglect. It's getting brittle and starting to tear a bit. I can't afford a new one right now and am hoping to find something to apply to it that will soften it up a little. Ultimately, I'd like to dye it black (it's a faded tan now).
I've looked around but can't seem to find anything that claims to "restore", only "protect". Is there anything out there that I can apply? Is there anything I can do the slow down the tearing (about a 1/2" tear)?

As for as care goes you can not beat Ragg Top kit for conditionong and protecting from water and sun damage. I do not think you can buy a dye for cloth tops only vinyl ones.
I saw on here someone spray theirs with black spray paint.
You can buy canvas repair kits from boat places for the tear.
