Default Dropped 7 tenths with a Vig3600 and some tires

Can't say enough about this converter. The results speak for themselves. Beat our personal best with the 2000 T/A by a long shot. Dropped 7 tenths with just a converter and some drag radials. Car was running consistent 12.9-13.0 with just headers/intake/tune/3.42s same air as tonight. That was with a 1.9 60' on street tires.

Went up to the track tonight only mods since then are some M/T ET Streets and the 3600 vig:

12.275 at 108.12 with a 1.629 60'.

Had some probs hitting the limiter on the 2-3 shift but we will get it taken care of. Best 60' of the night was 1.595 but hit the limiter on the 2-3 so it only ran a 12.3x. Hold on 10 bolt! i think there is another tenth or 2 to be had.

Just wanted to share how this converter completely changed this car.

Wait til it gets cold out. You might be in the 11s in perfect air and with your issues fixed.

I've been running a Vig since 1996...Can't say enough good things about the converter either...I dropped .5 with my 3600 and it replaced an 11" 2800 from LPE...They drive great and hit hard...I had mine restalled last year from 3600 to 4000 and holy crap does it feel nice...

Nice et reduction. This is why a quality converter should be one of the first mods people do to a car.

do any of you guys have a video showing street manners? I really want one but am hesitant to go so large since I basically daily drive my car in a town where I don't get up to speed to lock a lot of the time...also lots of small hills

Very nice times! Not trying to say anything bad but, isnt the mph a little low? I would think that with a time of 12.2 it would be around 110 to 112? Any correction is much appreciated! and again, GREAT TIMES!!!

Sweet! I can't decide anywhere between 3600-4000 myself.

I have a Vig 3600 on my car (I used to have a 3200) the 3600 hits hard and is good for a DD I drove 4000 miles this summer no big trips just around town to work and back. I did notice the slip more than the 3200 but its not at all like my friends yank 4000!

If you have a heavy car and don’t plan on strip use I would go with the 3200 (I had 255 MT streets and I couldn’t hook from a dead stop until 2nd on the street with long tubes and a tune)

I've been in a car with a vig 4000 and it was too loose for my personal tolerance, but I've never been in any other stalled car period.

Thanks guys. Run was somewhere in the 900DA range, looking to get back to the track once it drops some more. We had the tire size dialed incorrectly that is fixed now so the 2-3 shift should be good now.

I thought so too. Car dynoed 332rwhp. I think the time is great for the trap.

I have a Vig 4000 in my Formula, and it has great street manners and hits very hard...I've used Vigs since 1996 and love them...

I wonder how a Vig 4000 would be in a lighter car like my Datsun Z (2800 lbs w/me)......
