Default pan oil by pass- pan vs filter

I am changing my ls1 oil pan from Holden to a F body set up and realise that the parts I need are well documented on this site. ie

Camaro / Firebird "F"
Capacity: 5.5 qts
Oil pan , List Price $266.39: 12551581
Oil pump pickup: 12558251
Windage tray: 1258253
Dipstick tube: 12551577
Dipstick: 12551581
O-ring for Oil pump pickup: 12557752 (Same as Corvette LS1/LS6)

but I am confused when I read the filters were changed due to the location of the oil by pass being changed from the pan to into the fiilter. see

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...il-pans-7.html

(post by jasonww near the bottom of the page)
So do i just purchase the oil pan above and if so which oil filter do I need?
thanks from down here in New Zealand.
