Average cost of powdercoating?

Average cost of powdercoating? Hey guys, I just ordered some 18 inch Dezenyo Vapor wheels, and I want to powdercoat them black, and keep the lip chrome. They have a gunmetal finish right now. One has a little curb rash if that makes a difference. I have a buddy that has a buddy that powdercoats and he said he charges about $80 a wheel if you know him. But then I stopped by a custom shop and they said it would run from 500 to 600 out the door. I was wandering what is the usual or average price for powdercoating a set of rims?

holly crap...I am powder coater business in WI. I would powder coat wheel for 25.00 each. You will have to have it cleaned or blasted ready for coating. I may not be the best but All of them I have done have come out sweat!! p.s. I have only done full wheels not let a edge uncoated I would have to reseach that.
