Your car has a raceweight of 3800lbs, its an M6, makes 425ish to the tires on motor, 60fts a 1.67, and will run 11.83 at 116? This is a 2010 SS M6 with headers, exhaust, tune, airbox and thats it right?
A 2002 camaro M6, making 425rwhp, with a 1.67 sixty foot, rolling 4 deep weighing 3800lbs (because thats what it would take to get it to that weight) should run the same time or close? Hasnt happened.
Im just trying to understand something here. These cars STOCK are running at the best 12.90 right? So add the best headers/exhaust, air intake system, and tune the hell out of it and you go from an average of 365-370rwhp stock, to 425-430. Thats a total of MAX 65rwhp gain. Since when was 65 rwhp worth OVER a full second deduction in ET in the 1/4 mile?

1, he took 4 tenths off his 60ft, thats worth 6 tenths by itself...
2) he lightened the car, thats worth a few tenths...
3) he added 50+ hp, thats worth a half second or so...
and since when did 425hp 4th gens not be able to run an 11.80?? i remember a few stock engined cars running 11.50's with just some lightening, bolt-ons and a converter, yeah, autos not sticks, but still a bone stock engine...

plus the fact he is running in the high humidty and heat in TX..
I think with it being a nitrous car he is spraying a little here and there...and a little more when needed, if you know what I mean.

Ehh, the vids speak for themselves.
Car has ran consistantly faster every weekend, I dont guess I understand whats so hard to believe. Driving is the most part of it, every .05 you take off the 60ft is a .10 on the big end. My 60ft is better then most out there. Watch the video of the 11.80@116. Launching the car at 52-5500 rpms takes a toll on the clutch, listen real close. I dont dump it, as soon as the car moves I hold the clutch till to keep the rpm's up in the power band.
To me it's not that hard to do, I think I could jump in anybody else's car and run the same et's with the same mods.
With the weight reduction and the mods including the 3 inch shorter tires I run, its not that hard. I went from being in 3rd gear to 4th gear through the traps with the tire swap.
I have posted every mod and every video of my fastest passes. I'm showing every body else how to do it. The car made 427/428 to the wheels with out the cam. Its making alot more now, I plan on running some low 11's tonight if I go to the track on motor. I dont even have the plate on the car right now, should I video that before the pass?
The car will run 10.50's next time I spray.

Personally i dont find it too hard to believe. This isnt an LS1 car, so being cam-only i dont see 11's out of the question since its running 12's showroom stock. Plus 1.67 60 ft's already dictates atleast high 11's, and plus he's spraying also.
To Orange ChevyII great 5th gen, keep up the good work/driving. Hopefully it'll be in the 9's with a little time.

There is no reason for question, people just need to learn how to drive a heavy car with power is all.

I've been doing a lot of practicing launching my heavy car. The clutch may not be happy, but I can hook pretty good and not spin on the street. That's with the 20" Nitto's, I'll have 18" Toyo Dr's soon. Everything is here, just waiting until I go to the track on Wed for some testing. ;)

If you read all of OrangeChev's posts... slip clutch out at 5200... 3" shorter tire... weight reduction... Have raced the car like every week. It's all there.
I just still cant believe ppl are in here calling him out.....whatever man, keep up the good stuff and keep posting the vids !!!

This kind of crap always makes me laugh.
I do not understand why this car is under such scrutiny?
I have followed his posts on youtube. It displays a perfect progression of performance.
Hard work + $$$ + time + skill = SUCCESS
Congrats are in order.:usa:
As far as the 60' times are concerned, HE has figured out the perfect way to launch HIS car.
I suggest any person who is fortunate enough to own a similar type of vehicle/platform (ie G8, Camaro, CTS...) to pay close attention. ;)
This is FREE help and/or advice. I personally know how expensive trial and error can be. Getting a 10.5 stock suspension drag radial Monte Carlo to go consistent 1.3x 60' took years and thousands of $$$.
If I see someone struggling with a G-body at the track, I offer help and info. When someone can benefit from anothers experience, it is a bonus.:hail:
I am not ashamed to state when my Camaro finally arrives, I can only hope to be as successful.
I think its pretty funny when ppl call bs on other ppl times. Its sounds like they just need to learn to drive. I think b4 its over other ppl will be running 12.5's w/o touching the motor just doing the basic weight reductions and getting the launch down. Remember all the haters call bs when the ls1's were running in the 12's stock now the feel like dumb asses and so will these ppl when a few more cars get good #'s. Good job man your car is awesome.

Thanks guys for the compliments, I usually lol at the haters. I've said it before, I have nothing to hide for the nay sayers. I'm just helping out people with free info who want to know how to do it.
