Default Diff oil issue after 500 miles

2002 WS6 6MT (which makes it a Torsen posi I believe) 50k miles

Diff cover was leaking, so replaced gasket and added mobil 1 75w90 oil with GM additive. We noticed when changing the oil, it was extremely black and nasty for such a low mileage car.

I was still having diff oil leak, so we looked under car and the pinion seal is leaking too Car has had about 500 miles on the oil by this time. We drain the pan again, and notice the gear oil is VERY black and dirty again (last change we cleaned out the whole area with brake cleaner). Recently I have started having slight gear whine as well. I am guessing the gears may be worn. Any thoughts?

are the clutches in there all worn out, maybe the dirt from the clutch wear.

Torsen is gear driven, no clutches. The Auburn had the clutches in it.

Thanks for the input guys. I am sure its the gears. I had an issue where my pinion seal blew on the highway and lost alot of oil. Rear end got extremely loud. Cleaned everything up but the whine is still there.
