Default nd Cleaned the Engine Top+Bottom aPolished Exhaust (Sorry 56K)

Well.. I was outside at 6AM jacking the car up. I didn't go NUTS but enough to keep me busy and satisfy myself

Everything Before:

These pics are just after some scrubbing with a small brush and some warm water to loosen everything up.

I didn't even know this was METAL until I scratched some crap off.

Wetsand wetsand wetsand

This is the total end result.. Like I said, I didn't go NUTS, but I'd say it looks pretty good.

Remember how nasty this and the tranny cooler were? Best i could do!

Now I just gotta throw some engine detailer on some of the rubber.
Figured I'd share. It kept me busy.

Looks a lot better. The bottom can get real dirty if you let it go. It seems like I am always cleaning my D/D. I hate driving it in the rain.

Looks great. I wish I had the time (and motivation) to do that!

And all before school started. What a champ!

Haha I hear ya. My car is pretty much never on the road when there's rain/snow, so I'm hoping I'll be good for a while.

Thanks Adam Some of my first reactions underneath were, *wiping dirt away* "Oh look, this is red!" LOL. I actually have off from school today, so I woke my *** up and got out there early.

98 WS6, you've inspired me to do the same for my car. lol

And maybe then I can track where the ultra tiny oil leak is coming from.

I'll do it soon.

That'd be a good way to find it for sure. I enjoyed myself really, the crappiest part is just laying on your back or crawling the whole time lol. Also watch your eyes, make sure you don't get anything in them.

Wow! I don't think I could tackle that all at once, actually I know I couldn't get out there by 6am. Each time I change the oil I just wipe down a few things. I'm liking those suspension mods... a lot!

And yes, i'll be wearing eye protection maybe since the underneath of my car is horrendous, to say the least.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to do that work (not counting the sanding of the exhaust pipes)

And Yes, I know how that must have felt,

I think I was only at it for 2 or 3 hours. Taking my sweet time, in and out of the house, taking pictures, trying different soaps/degreasers. haha
