Default Last minute m6 to 4l80 swap questions.

I am doing 4l80e swap shortly and have think everything ready to go.
I got flexpate from speed inc ,got yank py3400e for 4l80e of course.
Have lokar firewall dipstick, b and m tranny cooler.I have bmr crossmember with torque arm relocation of course.I have wiring harness m6 to 4l80e and have had my hptuners tune setup for the 4l80.

M6 is out of the car and only waiting on the transmission now to show up.
Should be a week or two.

No have been reading and pretty sure have most of the stuff figured out. One question is trans mount. Will my current trans mount work or do I need some special 4l80 trans mount? I have poly trans mount I can use and stock trans mounts. Don't think will have much trouble breaking them since moving the torque arm off the tranny.I have poly engine mounts had to get them for the aps turbo kit.

So understand have to cut the ears ,do some cutting or pounding for the trans to fit and for the wirinng harness to go in. Hoping other than that the install goes pretty easy. I will do a few things ahead now, get flexpate on their, get my torque arm mocked up think have to cut it in back bracket because of my dana 60.I realize have to change front yoke to turbo 400 on the driveshaft will be ordering dennys nitrous ready one shortly current strange is not rated for my planned power levels. But might use the strange for temporary use.

Well with luck will be driving my car with the new 4l80 shortly.

-Use a GM poly trans mount
-Cut ears off tranny if not already done
-If you have a newer style (97+) 4L80, you'll need to clearance the trans tunnel for the transmission connector (electrical) and the rear cooler line/fitting
-When ordering your slip yoke make sure you get the right one- search for the thread explaining the spline situation
-Measure drive shaft after done an order a new one if necessary

Good luck

Most all GM transmission mounts are the same. Might as well put a poly one in there.
