Default Replacing just the disk?

Hey guys I'm on tight budget right now,(Young Married Father with a Hobby,LoL)I have about $500 to spend,Cant I just replace my disk on my Centerforce DF Clutch?I called CF and they referred my to the disk to go with,Its supposed to be better than the one in there now.I just don't see the point in spending $700 on a whole new kit when I can just Buy a New disk,Throw out bearing and resurface my flywheel and save a few hundred for bills. The PP only has like 15k miles on it.Am I wrong?Or do you think it'll be ok to do it.Thanx in advance for the help.

It depends on the condition of the PP and flywheel and your engine's power level. If there isn't any pitting or chips on the PP or flywheel, I don't think there should be much of a problem. I've replaced just the disk and had the flywheel resurfaced on two of my cars. Granted neither one had much power (I6 Nova and V6 Truck), but I never had any problems afterward.
