Default 6.0L Iron block in a CTS-V

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but I have a 2005 CTS-V that I'm putting a 6.0L block into right now. I got a call yesterday that the mounting plates that the engine mount would go into is different between the LS6 block and the LQ4/9 iron block. Does anybody know what's different and what do I need to do to fix it?

I came across these online, but I've never heard of the shop before:

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Should just need the caddy engine mounts (I guess if they are differnet). I can't see the extra 18 cid being an advantage over the lighter aluminium 5.7 block. Unless you planning on L92 heads and need a 4.0 bore. But then you'll have to go to a LS7 intake. I would stay with the LS6 you have.

MPFD - I'm confused.... what does that post have to do with engine mounts? I'm very well aware of all of the other differences. Everything else bolts up fine. Thanks.

I'm confused on why someone would mess around with crappy aftermarket mounts to put a truck block in a $50,000 car.

Because I can afford to???

I guess the same reason why I'm confused why someone would put a nitrous kit on a 50,000lb truck to go 13's. I'm doing a forced induction application with a D1SC Procharger and plan on cranking the boost way up and want the reliability of the iron block.

Do you have any other retarded comments or are you going to actually let people respond with intelligent content on my question?

Wow, you really sound like you know what your doing.... Or maybe not since the shop is doing your work, and your on here asking for assistance cause your shop isn't smart enough to get the proper engine mounts. I'd say anybody that can get a 50,000lbs truck into the 13's with a 100 shot is doing pretty well... Thanks for the complement.

*yawn*

If you only knew how long I've been around the stuff, and the shop doing the work, you and your slow *** truck would've shut up a long time ago. Anyway, thanks for the lame thread hijack and your worthless posts.

I'm familar with Erik's work, which why I'm confused on why your out here asking stupid questions. And why this was posted in the INTERNAL ENGINE section. I guess money can buy a fast car but it sure doesn't buy intellegence.
