Default Straight pipes instead of resonator?

Anyone ever just put two seperate pipes instead of the resonator where most people put the X? I think it would sound good witht he cats still on the car. What do you guys think. I could prolly get it welded in for $50 total.

I think you might get some popping/raspy sounding exhaust with out the X or H.

It'll sound like 2 pissed off inline 4s trying to kill each other! Do it! for $50 if you don't like it you are already halfway to an x/h pipe!

I have an X pipe and muffler gut and have the "pop". If the straights dont work out. For fifty bucks, hell... put another fifty on the table and make it an "H" pipe.

straights will sound fine, ive seen ls vettes that have a cutout for each exhaust manifold before a x-pipe and they sound good.

dont rember if i heard catted or no catted.

But sounded like a baddass V8 to me.. try it.
