Default Mail order tune?

When I first read about this on LS1Tech, I always wondered how theyre doin the mail order tune & how it could be that good or accurate. It seems like the customer would have to have some sort of scanning or tuning software themselves along with a wideband & email a scan to the tuner, & they make adjustments from that.

You are correct in the fact to get it perfect you would want the end customer to have a scan tool and a wideband for feedback.

What most mail order places do is figure out what works on one vehicle sometimes 2-3 then can that same tune out over and over to cars setup the same and it gets it close enough. The milder the combo the easier it is to get close.
