Default 275/50 or 60/15?

I really don't like how small this tire looks on my car. But I think it's a good size for racing at the track. When I run at the track, I have about 300 rpms left when I pass the line. I think that's pretty good? Stock 6 speed with 4:10s. What would the 275/60's do to me when running at the track? Help at all or make it worse? I like how much bigger the 60 looks compared to the 50.

BTW, Nittos don't work for cammed, geared, 6 speed cars. I'm going with MTs next year! They DO hook at the track. But I've heated them up on a concrete street and didn't hook at all! ... That reminded me, when I ran on the street I spun through 1s and 2nd then went into third and my clutch stuck. I couldn't pull it out of 3rd until I stopped.... uh oh... any info on that as well? I also think my forks in 4th are bent or something. When I shift Hard into 4th, it will go in but feels like it's grinding and not go anywhere. Weird.

If you can read through this mess and help me out I would appreciate it. I've been up for over 23 hours

i have 275 60 15 nittos and i make 415rwhp with a m6 with 3.73's and i dead hook 1st gear on the street so idk what ur doing .the only diffrence the 60 size tire will give u is a little better traction from the bigger sidwall, and longer gears it would make it worse at the track instead of having 300 rpms left you have like 5. but i love the look of my 60

If you're not running out of gear than taller tires will slow you down.
If you can hook up with Nittos then stick with them, or if you need something stickier than go with Hoosier radials, Hoosier Quick Time Pros or M/T ET Streets; the ET Street radial is pretty much the heaviest tire known to man, and having extra rotating mass is something to avoid if possible. The manufacturers' websites list the tires' weights (except Nitto). The ET Street radial in that size weighs 31 lbs, while the Hoosier radial weighs 22 and the QTP weighs 17 IIRC.

Put some 28" tires on it with 4.56s. You have a six speed, you'll be fine.

Just wondering if you are lowered or not? That is how I want my back tire to look.

I hook at the track fine. I think it was the road we were on. Trucks pull in and out of there through the week and it's always dusty and has rocks on it. It rained so it wasn't as bad. I was racing a 70 something automatic camaro who was dead hooking. I forgot what he had.... they were not nittos tho. I have until spring to make my decision on tires. Either way, they will be 60s. Here's a picture when I first put my 50s on. I don't use the center caps anymore... I think they look ugly.
