K member walk through? a few q's.

K member walk through? a few q's. I searched but no real straight forward walk through could be found. I want to know what all is involved with installing it, but i also had a few other questions. I am installing a turbo in my 96 WS6.
1) does using a turbo k member allow you to keep your ac with a truck manifold twin turbo set up? Or a front mount.
2)in general why do people use these?
I keep reading that it allows more room for the downpipes, and that they save around 35-40 pounds. But im trying to figure out how to keep my ac and i was hoping that an additional bennefit would be extra clearance.
