Default Not working on a car for F*@#*&> years!

I just spent 18 hours working on a damn car not including the 5 I spent on friday getting a head start. Sold my longtubes and true duals to a friend (chica) and to help save money I said I would do the work. Started dropping my exhaust on friday night. She got to my place at 12pm saturday, started working round 1. Its now 8:30am sunday, just got done taking it for a test drive then a looooong shower to wipe off the grease, dirt, oil, liquid wrench and metal shavings I was covered in! And worse off, my car isnt done. Borla is hanging, but still have to do the manifolds, y-pipe, tips, plugs, wires and align it all. To say the least Ive done enough work on cars to last a couple years! And I dont think I will EVER do exhaust work again unless its as simple as going back to longtubes. If not Ill pay the damn couple hundred dollars....

Sounds to me like you have it easy. Not really, sometimes exhaust stuff really does suck to work on.

I just did head gaskets, water pump, opti on my Moms car. For a friend I swapped motors, and now that car is having a opti or wire issue, Then I have my truck which has killed its second 700r4, so you could have been working on about three vehicles at once.

Exhaust is definitely something worth paying someone who does it for a living and has the right equipment to do it with. Absolute pain in the a$$ doing it in the driveway.

lift for the win.

That is why I never ended up taking my longtubes off before I sold the car. It wasn't worth the recovery cost of the parts vs the labor to install/uninstall.

Ryan I def. get where youre coming from. The easiest part was the longtubes and putting on my Borla. On her car, I got them on in 5 mins. My true dual over-the-axle pipes wouldnt come apart, then it took us hours before we finally had a friend drop off a saw-zaw and cut off the over the axle pipe on her SLP loudmouth at 4am!

If anyone wants to lend a hand getting my car back together Id appreciate it

Damn, KC, you had your hands full. I shoulda swung by anmd said wadda up. I got back to Robs and left at 2:30am, didn't think you'd still be up, lol. I wouldn't have been much help, I was too under the influence to be any good, and needed to get home to bed. Hopefully you got some *** from doing all this work for her.

^Ah there was the question, wondering if/when it was going to come up. Is it all worth it?
