I took my G8 to the track on friday for a Midnight Madness. Did not get alot of cool down time so I knew it would not go the e.t. that I wanted. It's an all stock 09.5 G8 with the 18in tires. My best pass was a 13.805@102 with a 2.093 60'. The best 60 was a 2.08. I think I can go some 13.50's with some good weather and alot of cool down. I only got 1 time run before having to dial in but I did go 4rounds. All passes were 13.8-13.9 and I drive it in D not Sport Mode. Are the 09.5's going the same e.t. as the 08s and 09's, does the four cats make any difference? I don't feel a difference in sport mode, has it proven to be faster in sport mode?

Last fri night, my buddy's bone stock 08 g8 went 13.9 @ 105.6, 2.3 60ft. never got to make another run, damn rain started and that was it. Wed we are planning on going back down. With a 2.0 he is hoping for 13.3. I would think with that 2.0 60ft you should run 13.5 anyways, but da and temps all play a factor.

OP-that's about normal times, with better weather and longer cool down you might hit a 13.5 or so. Also being that your all stock, next time run it in Sport mode. Once you hit third gear pull the shift lever back once, this will hold third gear all the way through the traps and not shift into forth short of them. This will help your times a bit as well.

The 09's are quoted at 355 vs the 361 on the 08's because the 08's were dynoed with premium and the 09 regular octane.

The first batch of 2009 Pontiac G8 GTs were built with the original 361-horsepower powertrain, but changes to the exhaust emissions systems resulted in the 355-hp configuration, which started in November 2008.

Lot of variables there. First off Auto or Manual? What is your experience with running at the track and your experience with the car. What track are you running at?
