i am installing either a torquer v2 or v3 with prc stg 2.5 ls6 heads from texas speed and was wandering what size pushrods to get with the kit and also what type of lifters(either ls7 or caddy lifters; which ones are better for the kit?)

also which cam would have more peak and bottom end hp and tq for the street the v2 or v3. I have slp lts and tds already on my 00 m6 z.

Get the LS7s lifters. And its best to get you PR leanth measured. I unfortunatally got a H/C set up 3.5 yrs ago and went with new lifters. At time didnt know I had gotten the LS7- short version at full pump up my valves were open on the combustion cycle and hard backfiring. Lucky for me I had aftermarket pistons so no contact

BTW I had the 7.4 with same heads you got and the MS3. At the time heads were unmilled and a .060 gasket was used.

Caddy Lifters are better than LS7... They support higher lift. And Cam's I wuld go with the Torquer v2. I have it in my setup and damn it fells go.

whats wrong with the stock replacement lifters that people run to 7500rpms reliably with a properly set up valvetrain?

People seem to be having problems with the Caddy lifters and they are about $100 more the LS7s. So you know my vote. I like the V3 cam. It pulls awesome. Its got a pretty stout intake lift so I would measure PTV.

Who is the past year have has issues with the caddy lifters?????
I have them in several engines and have no issue what so ever.
They may have had issues when they first came out but nothing that i know of in the past year.

You are 100% correct. Stock LS1 lifters can be spun to 7500 rpms with no issues. People are out to make money and there is your reason why they come up with the "newest latest and greatest" lifters.

Another point you have to see what application people are using these lifters for. Just because a lifter is rated to 8K to 8.5K rpm does not mean they are made to see that every time you take the car out for a spin. If you want really good lifters that have a great track record then as the redirect post from 01ssreda4 say use Morel lifters and be done with it.
