Default 15" skinnies true tire height

I have seen true real world measurements vary. I have seen some 165/80/15 measure as short as 24.9 and some measure 25.5. Also you guys running the mickey thompson sportmans whats your true measurements. Reason im asking is im trying to get my abs light, brake lights out without having to delete my abs due to inspection reasons. And my current 165/15 are shot and measure 23.7 and im going to get some new fronts and dont want to spend the extra $100 on a set of m/t's if there no taller than the cheap 165/80 kuhmo's.

Kevin,

I'd stay away from the VW style tires personally. Stick with either Mickey Thompson or even John at M&H makes very nice tires as well.

I'm not aware of any states requiring ABS to be operational for passing inspection. ABS is a "feature", not a requirement. Aside from the tire height differences, you may have other issues that are creating an ABS problem. An easy check would be to install your stock wheels/tires. If the problem goes away after verifying with stock wheels, then the tire height issue is your only ABS problem. If it turns out the tire is the issue, you'll be fine as long as you never consider changing to different diameter rear/front tire again unless you remove your ABS "feature". :-)

Good luck!
