Default cam help plz

im planning to get a cam soon, currently i have an LS6 cam in my possesion but alot of people tell me that it would be a waste of time to swap in the ls6 cam and that i should go more aggressive. So im looking for a cam that would get me more power but still decent drivability and gas mileage. Ive been looking at the GM hot cam and the TR224. do you guys think these would meet what im looking for? I would really like to have atleast 20mpg highway, but if i cant achieve this with these i would probably end up using the ls6 cam? any other suggestions would help

Like others say, I wouldn't waste my time doing an LS6 cam swap. Go more aggressive. Check out TSP's 228R cam

Try going into Texas-Speed and see there selection. I have the Torquer V2 and I love it. Also give me a very respectful MPG city and Highway.

TR224 or TSP 224r are going to give you basically stock driveability and its gonna really pick up the top end. You can't go wrong with either one.

sell the ls6 cam. LOTS of people will want it, esp the forced induction guys. then turn around and buy a 228R or something along those lines. anything lower is really a waste of time in my book. a 228 cam well setup and tuned is going to hit 400rwhp and about the same tq so itll drive real nice and wont kill mpg. if you want small, 228ish is the smallest id go.

but do you guys think ill achieve the mpg im wanting (at least 20 mpg highway) with the TR224 or the tsp224? ive been also looking at what is essentially a GM hotcam with greater lift. its specs are 218/228 .550/.550 with a 112 lsa. I like this idea cause that way i could use the LS6 valvesprings i have...do you guys think ill be over 400rwhp with these cams and 243 heads off a 02 Z06?
